Welcome to the Employee Engagement Pilot (new name TBD)!
The Social Security Administration (SSA) is developing a new employee engagement program that promotes employee dialogue and collaboration on new ideas to help improve SSA’s services and programs; educate employees about ongoing agency efforts; and provide SSA with another vehicle to improve service delivery to the public.
Over the upcoming months we will be hosting a series of campaigns focused on ways to improve our services and programs. We know that delivering timely quality services has a meaningful impact on the people we serve. Few government agencies touch the lives of as many people as we do. We issue Social Security cards and numbers at birth, record earnings when individuals enter the workforce, provide benefit estimates as workers begin thinking about leaving the workforce, and provide a safety net in the unfortunate event of blindness, disability or death. The people we serve are our top priority, and we will continue to remain mission-focused and mission-driven. We have long embraced the notion that we need to work smarter and you, our employees, have ideas about how to do that.
We want to hear from you! Join in on any of our campaigns following three easy steps:
- Sign-up for an account using your SSA.gov email address (you will only need to register once to participate in any of the campaigns);
- Activate your account using the link provided in your email invite from signing-up. We use your email address to confirm you are an SSA employee, but all ideas and comments submitted are anonymous.
- Lastly, comment, vote up or down on any of the ideas listed below, or submit your own ideas by selecting the Submit a New Idea button!
